We continue our coverage of the main important watch auctions to be held in Geneva this mid May and we now focus on the highlights presented by Christie’s for the auction of the 16th of May.
The first watch that we talk about is an exceptional Breguet pocket watch dating from 1800 and is most definitely one of the most complicated watch of its time. Its full name is the No 217 “Montre perpétuelle à répétition à quantième de mois et dates et équation, échappement libre à ancre”. A full programme by itself!
We also cover two very rare Rolex that both have been “tropicalized” through time, as well as two special Patek Philippe.
