Hublot: Transforming carbon fiber: How Hublot cuts their watch cases


Did you ever wonder what goes into the construction of a watch case, and in particular a watch case made of high tech materials like carbon fiber?

We visited the Hublot carbon-case manufacturing workshop in Gland, Switzerland to find out. Carbon fiber and a closely related material, Texalium, turn out to be devilishly hard to work with, so Hublot uses special equipment to prevent wear and tear.
